After a joint investigation with U.S. Postal Inspectors, the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad seized about 16 pounds of marijuana from a home on Lansing's southwest side, valued at about $1,000 per pound.
It happened Thursday evening. Three adult males, one female, and three children were present in the residence. Two of the male suspects were from Flint. The others all lived in the Lansing residence.
The Department of Human Services was contacted regarding teh children whose ages ranged from one to 15 years old. They've been temporaily placed with other relatives until the circumstances are reviewed.
All three male suspects were arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver five to 45 kilograms of Marijuana and Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Deliver five to 45 kilograms of Marijuana. The female suspect was arrested for Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Deliver five to 45 kilograms of Marijuana. Each charge is a felony punishable by up to seven years in state prison. All four suspects were lodged at the Lansing Jail pending authorization of warrants by the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office and arraignment in the 54A District Court.
