COLFAX TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Huron County authorities are investigating the apparent poisoning deaths of seven German shepherds at a home in Colfax Township.

Huron County Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson tells The Bay City Times that it appears someone entered an unlocked kennel on Friday and put antifreeze in the dogs' water.

Four young and three adult dogs were euthanized.
Investigators were analyzing evidence that includes blood samples from the animals and samples taken from the water.

What a messed up society that we live in. We have a slew of stories about how vicious dogs are and comments came up on how all dogs should be exterminated. Now we have a story about how several dogs were poisoned and the comments are on how to exterminated the people who did it.

If someone were to poison my two shepherds they better pray the law gets to them before I do. I agree, it's probably a neighbor that took some issue with the dogs (i.e. barking,) but take that up with the neighbor instead of being a coward and poisoning an animal. Hopefully the sheriffs office catches this scumbag.

I hope they catch the culprit. Probably a neighbor with an issue. SERIOUS issues. Jail-time's a'comin'.
