It's time for "Harvests & Haunts" across Michigan
The state Department of Natural Resources and Environment says state parks are planning everything from hayrides to haunted forests this fall.
Events in southeast Michigan include the Albert E. Sleeper Harvest Festival that continues the weekends of Oct. 8-10 and 15-17, the Ortonville Halloween Spooktacular on Oct 16 and the Walter J. Hayes Haunting Oct. 22-24.
Events in southwest Michigan include the P.J. Hoffmaster Harvest Festival on Oct. 15-17. Northern Lower Peninsula events include the Oct. 30 Onaway Fall Festival. Upper Peninsula events include the Tahquamenon Falls Harvest Fest on Oct. 15-17.
