Authorities say a fire rushed through an assisted living home near Port Huron, killing three residents and injuring two other people.
St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon says an owner of Tomlinson's Adult Care Home reported the fire about 2 a.m. Sunday. It's in Grant Township, about 55 miles north-northeast of Detroit.
Donnellon says in a statement that an 89-year-old woman and men ages 93 and 76 died. Their names and the cause of the fire aren't yet being released.
The sheriff says the two owners, their 19-year-old son and four residents were at the home when the fire started.
The 70-year-old male owner and a surviving resident were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
