The East Lansing Islamic Center will host a program Wednesday night on diversity.

It's an effort to promote peace, respect and understanding following the discovery of a burned Quran outside the mosque earlier this month.

The "Unity with Diversity" event is free and open to the public. It begins at 6:30 p.m. at the mosque on South Harrison Road.
