Sesame Street Yanks Katy Perry Segment

Katy Perry's cleavage is fine for Russell Brand -- not so for Elmo and Sesame Street.
The children's show says it won't air a taped segment featuring the "California Gurls" singer and Elmo. The pop star -- who is known for her risque outfits -- wore a gold bustier top as she sang a version of her hit "Hot N Cold." But some felt it was too revealing for the kid set.
Sesame Street said in a statement Thursday that in light of the "feedback we've received" after the bit was aired on YouTube, they won't include it on the show. While the show said it was still available on YouTube, it had been removed by the official Sesame Street YouTube channel. Other versions on YouTube have generated thousands of hits.
A rep for Perry said Thursday that Perry enjoyed her time with Sesame Street and Elmo, and pointed out that the clip is still online on her website.

I agree with Sesame Street! This is a kids show not an adult show or movie video...but a KIDS SHOW. Katy should be ashamed of herself dressing like that for preschoolers!

On another note: Can anyone say "Jessica Rabbit" "COW" from cow and chicken cartoon. "Busty Fox" from Hedgehog House

Apparently some people don't remember Pee Wee's Playhouse with Miss Yvonne... http://www.ocregister.com/articles/pee-230264-wee-reubens.html?pic=1 She showed alot more than on Saturday Mornings. The only people that ever complain, are the ones that have never left this country. Trying visiting Italy, Spain, or a 3rd world country...

Hey as a parent who has to sit through dozens of kid shows a day, shouldn't the dads and moms have something to entertain them.

Good god get a grip. Its not like she was wearin pasties and a smile. Quit overprotecting children with these over modest values. Its the 21st century not the 17th. God forbid any other women in media, say news reporters or tv personalities, that these kids may see show a little ankle. Sesame streets audience is children who are not fixated on what she's wearing, they're fixated on that puppet she is sitting next to.

There is nothing disgusting about the human body. She is not wearing anything that little timmy or jenny havn't seen before. Ever take your kiddies to a water park? beach? drive aournd on a hot summer day? Good grief people, get over it already.

How disgusting is this! I am so tired of women showing their cleavage---whether in the media world or in real life. Why do women want to show half of their breasts? It's so immodest. I work at an elementary school and see it with some of the staff. Inappropriate. The situation with Katy Perry has sunk to a new low. This is a show for young children. Couldn't the folks at Sesame Street have told her no to the outfit before taping even began? Seriously! People just don't care anymore.

I am not so sure a 1 to 6 year old would know what sexy is, but the top is a bit to much for the little kids parents and I say Good Job Parents!. They are the people who need to make decissions in regards to not only the little kids but the tweens and teens also.
