Eastern Michigan University faculty members have approved a new contract with the Ypsilanti school.
The local chapter of the American Association of University Professors said Monday the faculty OKed the deal by a vote of 265-18.
Bargainers for the union and the university reached a tentative agreement late last month.
The Eastern Michigan Board of Regents is expected to vote on the proposed contract on Sept. 21.
