Alleged Victim of Church Sex Abuse to Come Forward

A man who says he was abused by a local priest will identify himself at a press conference Tuesday.

That's according to a press release issued by his attorney.

The man is expected to talk about his experience and explain why he believes Michigan's child sex abuse laws need to change.

The Catholic Diocese of Lansing reached a $225,000 settlement with this man two years ago, though it says a board of review could not find evidence to prove his story that Monsignor John Slowey molested him in the 1950s.

Slowey has been dead for years.

We'll have much more on this story tonight on news ten.

Strange STORY, even from an attorney, which, looking at character, are rated below used car salesman!

Mr. Guggemos made some interesting points in his press conference. Hopefully, this will help cause others to come forward to right those past wrongs. The Catholic Church has been shrouded in secrecy for many centuries. It's time for it to become transparent.
