A juror was removed from a Macomb County trial after writing on Facebook that the defendant was guilty. The problem? The trial wasn't over.
Hadley Jons of Warren could be found in contempt when she returns to court on Thursday.
The 20-year-old Jons was a juror in a case of resisting arrest. On Aug. 11, a day off from the trial, she wrote on Facebook it's "gonna be fun to tell the defendant they're guilty."
The post was discovered by the son of the defense lawyer. A judge confronted Jons and removed her from the jury.
A message seeking comment was left for Jons on Monday. Defense lawyer Saleema Sheikh tells The Macomb Daily that Jons deserves at least a few hours in jail.
