A 10-month-old has been killed in a traffic crash in Detroit.
Police tell WDIV-TV the baby wasn't properly secured in a car seat and was ejected from the vehicle around 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Authorities say a truck ran a stop sign on the city's east side and crashed into the vehicle carrying the baby.
The Detroit News reports the 30-year-old driver of the truck was attacked by a group of angry onlookers at the scene and later was taken to a hospital.
Police did not say whether his injuries resulted from the attack or the accident.
