Mid-Michigan doctors have a new resource to help their youngest patients. Sparrow Hospital and Michigan State University have created a call center for pediatric physicians to contact health care specialists. CareMatch for Kids is a service center that doctors can call to coordinate specialty care for their child patients. Often children with chronic heath problems must see several specialists, which can be difficult for families to organize. The call center staff are trained to manage these situations, organizing a child's care in as convenient a way as possible. CareMatch for Kids is the first step in the consolidation of children's health care services that MSU and Sparrow announced in April.
