Police in suburban Detroit say two carjackers drover over a woman's legs while she tried to stop them from driving off with her children in the family's SUV.
Roseville police Chief James Berlin tells The Detroit News that the woman was hospitalized for head and leg injuries Thursday morning. He says the men crashed into a telephone pole less than a mile away, and the children were unhurt.
The Detroit Free Press says the woman is 31 and the children are 7 and 9.
Police say the woman was taking her children to school and left them in the vehicle in her driveway while she retrieved an item from their home.
Police say she came out of the house and saw the thieves. Police are seeking suspects in the case.
