WMU Student Killed In Car Accident

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a 22-year-old Western Michigan University student from suburban Detroit has died after being struck by a vehicle in Kalamazoo.
Police say Breeana Kay Dixit of St. Clair Shores died after being hit Sunday morning in the southwestern Michigan community.
Officers responded and found her in the roadway about 12:40 a.m.
The investigation into the death is ongoing. Police are seeking tips from the public in the case.
