BERLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- A tractor-trailer driver is in stable condition at a hospital after being seriously injured in a mid-Michigan crash that involved his truck, another semitrailer and a Greyhound bus.
The Lansing State Journal reports Tuesday that the 42-year-old Chicago man was recovering from a surgery at a Grand Rapids hospital. He was involved in the noontime Monday crash on west Interstate 96 near Berlin Township in Ionia County.
Michigan State Police say the semi driven by the man struck the other, which was parked. The second semi then hit the bus. About 25 people were on the bus. Nobody else was seriously injured.
Part of the freeway about 20 miles northwest of Lansing was closed for several hours.
