"All of a sudden I'm given this opportunity and so many things are running through my mind," said Isaac Anguiano.

East Lansing (WILX)-- Almost six years ago when then-senator Barack Obama campaigned at MSU, thousands of people came to watch the man speak on the lawn. Come Friday the atmosphere and weather conditions will be a lot different. Plus, you can expect security to be a lot tighter.

"There will be some road closures. They will be relatively minor compared to how big our university is. Mostly around Bogue St. and the equestrian barn," said Kent Cassella, MSU spokesperson.

Although the secret service isn't giving any specifics, you can count on multiple roads between Capital Regional International Airport and MSU's vet school being closed as well.

The doors to the event will open at 11:30 am on Friday. It's scheduled to go until 2 pm. The people who have been invited have been told to expect the same as airport security.

Those who don't have an invitation have been asked to stay away from the equestrian barn.

There are no public plans for the president to greet the general public.

Isaac Anguiano is one of the lucky few to be chosen, he's been told he might even have a chance to ask the president a question or two.

"All of a sudden I'm given this opportunity and so many things are running through my mind," said Anguiano.

Others are disappointed at being left out.

"I mean it would've been an honor to meet the president, or be around the president," said Ken Hall, MSU senior.

"It's not every day the president comes to your school," said Julian Navarrete, MSU sophomore.

But Navarrete adds, he's not ready to give up on catching a glimpse of the president.

"I'll be drawn to it because the history of presidents is spectacular. You want to be a part of that, and being a part of Michigan State I want to be a part of that."

We'll have live coverage of the president's arrival and speech throughout the day on the air and online. There will be a wrap-up on News Ten Friday evening.
