Three Dead Dogs Found in Charlotte Dumpster

The Eaton County Sheriff's Office, Animal Control Division, was contacted regarding three dead dogs found in a dumpster behind the Payless Shoe Store located at 1660 Packard Hwy. in Charlotte, Mich.

After initial investigation it appears that the dogs were already dead, possibly from freezing to death, prior to being placed in the dumpster.

The dogs are described as one Shepherd mix, black and tan, wearing a pink collar, approximately 65lbs; one black mixed breed with short hair, wearing a pink collar, approximately 40lbs; and one Border Collie type dog, long hair, black and white, no collar.

It is believed that these dogs were placed in the dumpster sometime between Wednesday January 8, 2014 and Sunday January 12, 2014.

At this time the Eaton County Sheriff's Office is looking for anyone with information concerning these dogs or their owner.
