Three young children have died in a West Michigan apartment fire.
Firefighters found the bodies of 3-year-old twins and a 1-year-old girl inside a unit at the Interfaith Apartments in Kalamazoo.
The children may have been left home alone.
The fire started about 2 p.m. Monday. One apartment was destroyed and a second heavily damaged. The blaze may have started on the building's first floor and spread to the second floor.
A firefighter was injured when a ladder he was on collapsed.
Most of the 200 units in the apartment complex are for low-income families.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

If these kids were left home alone, the parents should face charges for their deaths. No child at these ages should ever be left home alone for any reason, not for a minute. My sympathies for this loss and hopefully a wake up call to all, NEVER LEAVE INFANTS HOME ALONE.
