Lansing Police are investigating a shooting on the city's northwest side.
Shortly before 6 p.m. Monday, there was a report of shots fired near Comfort and Theodore.
When officers arrived, witnesses said a tan sedan pulled up, the victim and someone in the car exchanged words, and then the victim was shot.
The victim, an 18-year-old man from Detroit, was shot in the head, but the bullet did not penetrate his skull.
He did not receive serious injuries.
Police say the man is being fuzzy with details.
He is not saying why he was walking in the area.
Police say after the man was shot, he went to an acquaintance's home for help; but he tells police he doesn't know the person's name or address.
Police believe this is not a random shooting.
