A hallway fight at Waverly High School was caught on camera and uploaded to the web.

Parents are worried about security at the school, but according to Renee Sarafin who's been teaching there for 14 years, there's nothing to be concerned about.

"In 14 years, I've never seen anything scary...A high school fight which is unfortunate, but it's not unheard of in any other school," Sarafin said.

The video shows one student pulling out a pepper spray and attacking other students with it. Sarafin admits the use of a weapon is alarming, but says such an incident is completely out of the ordinary and should not be used to judge the student body as a whole.

"They're not bad kids, they're such good kids. There are so many more good stories about these kids than there are bad stories," Sarafin said.

Waverly High School Junior Jefferey Wilson also said major fights don't happen often at his school and that most people seen in the video were there to help break up the fight. Wilson is also concerned about how the video might look on him and other students.

"Since we're students there, it makes us look like we can't get along," Wilson said.

Wilson wants people to know that Waverly High School is a tight-knit community where people do get along and Sarafin is also defending her students by sending out the same message.

"They look like they're thugs but they're not...I feel taken care of by them like an extended family," Sarafin said.
