Suspect Named in Lansing's Murder Investigation

Kosgar Lado, 20 years of age (prior reported as 21 years) of Lansing was charged with:
1. Open Murder
2. Assault with Intent to Commit Murder
3. Possession of a weapon with Unlawful Intent
4. Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
No Bond Given by Judge Cherry and Lado was remanded to Ingham County Jail.  Next hearing dates are July 9, 2013 at 2 PM  in front of Judge DeLuca.
 

LANSING - Lansing Police have named the man they believe shot and killed a man in the city early Wednesday morning. Kosgar Lado, 20, was arraigned Friday on a murder charge, as well as assault with intent to commit murder, and two felony weapons charges. Police say Lado shot and killed 35-year old Anthony Kye in the 600 block of North Pine Street shortly after midnight Wednesday morning. Police say they believe Lado and Kye knew each other, but are not saying what their relationship was. Lado's arrest followed a traffic stop along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Lansing Thursday afternoon.
Lado is jailed without bond.
