High school students in Holt are gearing up for a big fundraiser Wednesday.
They're trying to raise money to bring a "Challenge Day" program back to the high school.
And in order to get the cash, they're holding a field day event today.
"Challenge Day" was made famous by an MTV show called "if you really knew me." The day encourages students to open up and share their experiences. The ultimate goal is to promote acceptance and understanding and break down cliques. Challenge Day came to Holt High School in the winter, and students enjoyed the experience so much that they want to bring it back. But it's an expensive program.... $5,000 dollars a day. That's why kids are putting on this fund raiser today. They hope to bring it back. Students at Holt will be able to pay $5.00 to do field day activities outside and miss two hours of class.
