State Lawmakers Consider Bill to Sell Medical Marijuana In Pharmacies

Pharmacies in Michigan may be able to stock medical marijuana, but there's a big catch.

A bill passed by the State Senate Wednesday would allow pharmaceutical-grade marijuana if the federal government reclassifies it as a Schedule II drug.

Right now, marijuana is Schedule I, meaning there is no accepted medical use.

The bill would still allow patients to get pot from a licensed caregiver or grow it themselves.

It is headed to the State House.
