The Eaton County Sheriff's Office and other first responders were busy Saturday morning getting cars out of medians and drivers sent to hospitals.

Around 9 a.m., a pickup truck lost control, hit the median and then rolled several times. It happened near the Davis Highway overpass on northbound I-69. The driver severely cut his head and was sent to the hospital.

While police, fire and EMS crews were busy helping those involved in the first accident, more happened at the exact same location.

A man in a Chevy Monte Carlo hit a Windsor Township fire truck. The Monte Carlo driver went to the hospital for head pain.

The two accidents combined blocked the entire northbound lanes.

As crews closed I-69 northbound to take care of the two accidents, a semi was unable to stop and hit a Chevy Impala-- barely missing first responders. The woman in the Impala went to the hospital for head injuries. The semi driver was uninjured.

In addition, more accidents occurred further south on I-69. Several cars went off the road and into the median. The Eaton County Sheriff's Office said bad weather and poor driving conditions are to blame.

Parts of I-69 were closed for more than two hours.
