Lansing police detectives are handing their report on the investigation into a toddler's death over to the Ingham County prosecutor on Thursday. It will be up to Prosecuting Attorney Stuart Dunnings to decide if there is enough evidence to issue arrest warrants.
Two-year-old Brandon Kemp died April 30 after being taken to a local hospital. Police immediately called it suspicious, but haven't released what lead to the toddler's death.
The child was living his mother and her boyfriend in a Lansing apartment.
Lansing Police Information Officer Robert Merritt says the prosecutor could announce his decision as early as next week.
