The Michigan Public Service Commission has a new home at the Prudden Tech Center in Lansing.
It announced a 10-year lease today.
220 state workers will move from several offices into one building this fall.
The commission will be the last major client to move into the former Prudden Motor Wheel Factory.
Other tenants include the Lansing Police Department and the C2AE Architecture Firm.
"I think that's one of the great joys of historic rehabilitation, that you can take this diamond in the rough and polish it up and put it back ut there for folks to work in and enjoy and to contribute back to our economy again," said Stephen Purchase.
The PSC will save about $12,000 per year compared to what it pays for office space now.
