On Wednesday, Raulie Casteel appeared in court in Oakland and Livingston Counties. The defense attorney stated that a preliminary exam likely won't happen within 14 days since judges in both counties ordered Casteel to undergo a competency and criminal responsibility exams.

"Since competency has been placed an issue in that case, I think it would be prudent for us to follow that same course of conduct here as to not have any conflicting issues between the two counties," said Livingston County Prosecutor David Morse.

Casteel was in court for just minutes and before leaving he turned to his family and one member said "Hey Raulie, hang in there man."
