"In order to get house and sell a house, it takes 30 to 45 days, if you sold it on the first day. The process of going through the sale and all of the work that entails would eat it up."
Debbie Adams - Michigan United
"Who will join the bankers in bed?"
That sign along with this bed was outside the Anderson office building today.
It’s a protest of the bill to change Michigan’s foreclosure laws, which would shorten the redemption period from six months to 60 days.
Critics think it will only help the banks because 60 days is not enough time for homeowners to modify their loans, or sell their homes.
Supporters say it will *add* more time for homeowners to modify their loans *before* they go into foreclosure.
It also could help get blighted homes off the market faster by spurring home sales.
