LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan is participating in a nationwide event Tuesday that encourages people to register to vote.
Secretary of State Ruth Johnson says her mobile office will be open outside Lansing City Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for National Voter Registration Day.
Other locations across the state will take part as well. Johnson says people can drop by their local secretary of state's office, their county clerk's office or one of the local events to fill out a registration form.
