LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- The past, present and future of the rails in the Great Lakes State will be covered at the upcoming Michigan Rails Conference.
The conference will be held Saturday at the Library of Michigan in Lansing. Participants can choose from sessions dealing with historical or modern topics.
Keynote speakers include authors of "Michigan's Historic Railroad Stations" and "Railroads for Michigan."
Members of the Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers will provide details about Amtrak travel. Discussions about current legislation and developments related to short and long distance transit in the state also are planned.
Cost is $15 and registration is required.
