Man Charged in Teen's Shooting

TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- A West Michigan man is charged with attempted manslaughter after a Tallmadge Township teenager was shot in the face in what authorities describe as horseplay involving a gun.
The Holland Sentinel reports ( ) that 18-year-old Richard Usher, also of Tallmadge Township, is being held Friday on a $200,000 bond in the Ottawa County Jail. Usher was arraigned Thursday.
The 16-year-old male victim was in critical condition at a Grand Rapids hospital following Wednesday night's shooting.
Four other young people, ages 17 to 19, were in the home when the shooting happened. They weren't injured.
