Michigan State University football commit Jayru Campbell has been arrested and could be charged with assaulting a school security guard. A video posted to youtube Wednesday night shows the attack in which witnesses say Campbell body-slammed the guard in a hallway at Detroit Cass Tech High School. Campbell is a junior quarterback who led the Technicians to the Division I state championship his freshman and sophomore seasons. Last year, Cass Tech was eliminated in the state playoffs by Detroit Catholic Central. Campbell was suspended from school and for the first game of the 2014 season because he punched a Catholic Central player in the post-game handshake line. NCAA rules prevent Michigan State from commenting on Campbell or any other recruit until a National Letter of Intent has been signed. The earliest that can happen is the first Wednesday in February of a high school player's junior year.
