A Lansing-area Kroger store was evacuated and closed today after a hazardous material incident.

Lansing Fire Department Public Information Officer Eric Weber confirmed that earlier today, a call was received of a 'person down' at the Kroger store located at 443 Mall Ct. in the Frandor Shopping Center.

The affected person was taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

The store remains closed, it is unknown how soon it will be reopened. They are waiting for Kroger Corporate to conduct an investigation, as well as OSHA, to determine when the store can be reopened.
