" Linux Operating System is used at multiple IT employers in the area. So we set up this training knowing that liquid web had a great need but we also know this is a skill set that participants can used into their careers and at multiple jobs."

Liquid Web and the Capital Area Tech Knowledge E-Pathways have partnered together to create an eye-tee scholarship program.

Fifteen people will receive a three-week Linux Operating System training through Lansing Community College's Business Institute.

Once they complete their training, they are then able to be hired by Liquid Web and other it companies around the county.

The group was awarded a $4.4 million dollar grant through the U.S. Department of Labor that is being used for the scholarships.
