MSU junior, running back LeVeon Bell, broke the news on Twitter this afternoon that he plans to declare for the 2013 NFL draft. He spoke to Mark Dantonio, informing him of his decision. There had been speculation that the running back had NFL plans, but on January 1st, he refused to discuss the rumors on Twitter, saying he would wait until he made his decision.
He made his plans clear early Thursday afternoon, making the following statements on the popular social network, Twitter:
LeVeon Bell @L_Bell24
"As hard as it was to leave spartan nation, it was even harder to pass on such a great opportunity I have in front of me!"
and a short time later:
"But I love and thank spartan nation for everything! I will always be a Spartan!"
Bell has hired an agent to represent him, and will be eligible to participate in the NFL draft, in April of this year. Watch WILX News 10 at 6 for more details on this story.
