The Lansing Police Department is holding a press conference, Monday afternoon, where it will release the results of the first operation of the Capital Area Violent Crime Initiative.
The initiative is a collaboration between local, state and federal law enforcement that aims to reduce violent crime by targeting various 'hot spots' and violent offenders.
The first operation, June 13-15th, saw members of LPD, Michigan State Police, Ingham County Sheriff's Department, Ingham County Prosecutor's Office and several other agencies working together.
The results of the operation will be released, Monday, at 2 p.m. and News 10's Anthony Sabella will be there covering the press conference.
