Lansing Community College is going to be working with local employers to help students get trained for and find jobs.
It's one of nine schools around the state splitting a 26-million dollar federal grant.
The program is focused on fields like advanced manufacturing, transportation, health care and engineering.
The private sector helped pick them based on its needs.
