A Jackson County judge is sending Leo Kwaske to a mental institution for life following a bench trial this morning.
Kwaske faced a murder charge for allegedly decapitating his neighbor Shirley Meeks last October.
Today Circuit Court Judge Thomas Wilson ruled Kwaske not guilty by reason of insanity.
Experts have agreed that Kwaske was indeed insane at the time of the murder.
