Jackson Police Investigate BB/Pellet Gun Shootings

Streets where the shootings have occurred include Van Buren Street, Whitney Street, Homewild Avenue, Trail Street, Quarry and East Ganson. 

Police in Jackson are investigating more than two dozen incidents of car windows being shot out on the city's north side.

They tell us the shootings have happened after dark, in the late evening or early morning hours in the last 48 hours.

Officers are investigating 28 incidents total, primarily in the north section of the city. Streets where the shootings have occurred include Van Buren, Whitney, Homewild, Trail, Quarry and East Ganson. Police believe the suspects are using a BB or pellet gun to damage vehicle windows. The vehicles have been parked on the street, or visible from the street when these shootings have occurred.
