GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) -- Grand Valley State University's Board of Trustees has approved spending $1.2 million to buy seven properties near its Health Sciences building in Grand Rapids.
The school will add the new lots to properties it bought a year ago, giving it an entire city block. Grand Valley plans a future expansion of its health care programs there.
The university signed off on the property purchase on Friday.
