Grand Ledge police are telling parents it's safe to send their kids to school Thursday after word of a student making a threat spread quickly online Wednesday.
Police aren't telling us which school was involved, just that a student threatened to harm classmates Thursday.
That student will not be in the building Thursday.
A parent posted a comment on the police department's Facebook page asking if kids are safe to go to school tomorrow. The department responded with, "We have no reason to believe there is any danger to any students".
In a separate post, the department said, "The reality of the situation has been blown out of proportion on Twitter and other internet media by individuals without all the facts."
