LANSING - Traffic is being re-routed in Lansing's Reo Town Wednesday afternoon so repairs can be done to a gas line. Southbound Washington Avenue between Malcolm X/Main Street and South Street will be closed starting at 1:30pm so a Consumers Energy crew can repair damaged to a 2-inch gas line. There is no estimate at this time as to how long the repairs will take. Heavy construction has been taking place in the area for the power plant being built by the Board of Water and Light, and a Consumers Energy spokesperson says that work caused the line damage.
