Gas Prices Surge Before Holiday Weekend

Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, gas prices around mid-Michigan are jumping.

News 10 crews are seeing gas for $3.65 in the Lansing area.

Earlier Tuesday, GasBuddy reported on its Facebook page that gas prices are expected to hike after wholesale gasoline prices went up on Monday. Oil prices also rose Monday, as did the stock market.

As of noon Tuesday, GasBuddy was reporting prices had spiked to $3.65 in parts of Michigan and $3.59 in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and Wisconsin.

    To raise gas prices two days before a holiday while prices of oil are trading down is gouging. I don't care what they say, it's gouging and gas stations need to be fined for this.

    So what else is new? These prices are so manipulated. We need to find other sources of fuel other than fossil fuels which is creating all the climate change.
