Gas Prices Rise in Lansing Area

Gas prices around mid-Michigan shot up about 20 cents per gallon Monday.

News 10 saw prices at $3.59 around Lansing Monday afternoon.

The government shutdown may cause some problems in the petroleum industry this week.

GasBuddy.com says the federal government may not release its weekly report on changes in supply and demand, which means traders will be somewhat blinded when it comes to buying and selling oil.
