HOUGHTON LAKE, Mich. (AP) -- A funeral service is planned Friday for a 10-year-old West Michigan boy who disappeared last weekend after going fishing.
Police say the death of Devon Morrison was ruled an accidental drowning. The service is 11 a.m. at Christler Funeral Homes in Houghton Lake.
Devon's body was found Monday by searchers in Belding, about 25 miles northeast of Grand Rapids. He was last seen Saturday as he headed for the Flat River from his nearby home with a fishing pole. He was a fifth-grader at Woodview Elementary School.
Devon's disappearance prompted an extensive search.
