A federal judge's ruling, this afternoon, could decide the fate of Michigan's ban on gay marriage.

U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman is discussing the matter during a 2:30 p.m. hearing in Detroit. At the same time, Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum says her office will be ready to give out marriage licenses to same-sex couples, if the ban is overturned by Friedman's ruling.

Byrum tells News 10 her office and local same-sex couples will be following the hearing online at 2:30 p.m. News 10's Anthony Sabella will be at the courthouse, this afternoon.
