Lansing police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man late Monday night.

Officers were called to a house in the 1300 block of Illinois Avenue shortly before midnight. They found the man dead from a single gunshot.

The victim's girlfriend was in the house at the time of the shooting and has been questioned.

Lansing police department Captain Daryl Green says preliminary evidence suggests that it was an accidental, self-inflicted shooting, however, detectives are still investigation it.

The victim's name has not been released.

I was listening to the police scanner when this call came over the air. The police stated that the couple were playing russian roulette and he shot himself. The girlfriend is the one that called the police and said he shot himself in the head. That's not accidental; that's stupid!
