MASON - Mason based Dart Container Corporation announced Friday that it has completed its purchase of the Solo Cup Company. The Federal Trade Commission has approved the $1 billion sale. Dart says they will continue to offer Solo brand products, including the well-known red Solo cup.
When the impending deal was publicized in March, Dart Container Vice President of Administration Jim Lammers told News 10 that he expected some job growth in the mid-Michigan area as a result of the purchase. Lammers says it is too soon to say just how many jobs would be created.
