Civil Rights Department Holding Immigration Forum

DETROIT (AP) -- The Michigan Department of Civil Rights and two of its commissions are holding a community forum on immigration.

Commissioners representing the Hispanic/Latino and Asian Pacific American communities are expected to meet Thursday with immigration attorneys and advocates at Detroit's International Institute.

The session aims to deal with the economic effects of immigration as well as take up a wish-list for improvements.
The event is free and open to the public.
