The State Capitol renovations may be finished ahead of schedule. Crews ripped the carpet out as soon as the legislature adjourned last month. They're installing new cables, wiring, electrical adapters and equipment to allow the hearing impaired to follow sessions. Crews are scheduled to be done by the end of August. The interior work is expected to cost $370,000. The State is spending another $1,000,000 to replace the west side of the roof.
