PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) -- A man in suburban Detroit has been fatally stabbed after an argument and physical struggle with his son over the teen's gang activity.
The Oakland County sheriff's office says the 40-year-old victim would not allow his son to leave the Pontiac house Friday. The 15-year-old boy is being held at a county detention center for juveniles.
Sheriff Mike Bouchard says the father was a victim of violence while "trying to tear his son away from a potential life of violence and death." He calls it sad and tragic.
